A Spider has been caught!

The first group of volunteers have arrived in Malawi this summer from Tonbridge Grammar - the team are trying to blog as often as possible and we will share them with you as and when they do - Special thanks to the team from Inspire Worldwide for sharing these with us.

The First day in Malawi - After the short drive through Blantyre and past the local market the team arrived at Fisherman's Rest. A hot shower and sandwich lunch was a welcome sight after the long journey, followed by a walk around the fantastic grounds, where they saw their first African animals - a pair of impala. The views from Fisherman's are truly spectacular and the ideal back-drop to the in-country briefing run by George and Gemma, Inspire Worldwide's project leaders.

Dinner was some comfort food of lasagne followed by an early night for the whole team, in readiness for tomorrow's drive out to the village of Manyenje.

Tamsin deserves special mention today as the team's champion spider catcher having relocated a particularly fast and large one outside much to everyone else's relief!

More to follow soon.
