Last year, we shared photos of a very run down community-based childcare centre in Gwaladi. The good news is that the children in the village have a brand new facility for them to use. This was thanks to some fantastic fundraising and effort by a volunteer group, who also visited Malawi at the end of last year to help with its construction.

We are now working with the community to improve education for the 2-5 year olds who use this lovely building on a daily basis. When they come to the centre, the children also receive a nourishing meal, reducing undernutrition and keeping the children healthy.
We have several other villages where a new CBCC building would make a huge difference to the community and will be working with them to see how we can do this over the next 12 months.
